About Balm in Gilead Prayer and Inner Healing Ministry

 

Balm in Gilead Prayer Ministry Inc. is a non-profit, tax deductible organization that offers Holy Spirit-led ministry of Inner Healing, Biblical counseling, and Emotional Wholeness, to individuals who are hurting, despised, rejected, wounded and broken.  Why is it that even after accepting God’s free gift of salvation many continue to struggle and are held captive to the sins of the flesh, such as; anger, malice, bitterness, rejection, guilt, condemnation, and unforgiveness? God desires to bring healing repentance, reconciliation, and inner transformation to us. We believe that Jesus was referring to hurting people when he said in Luke 4:18, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” These conditions were present in Jeremiah’s day, as he saw the hurt and pain in those around him, he cried out, “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wounds of my people?” Jeremiah 8:22

 

Balm in Gilead Prayer Ministry’s purpose is getting the Bride ready for the Bridegroom, Christ Jesus. Through the sanctifying influence of the Holy Spirit, this ministry will help individuals uproot those things that hinder them from walking in the power and authority in the destiny to which they have been called, to identify and pull down life strongholds, understand the power of forgiveness, and appropriate what was accomplished by Jesus Christ through His death on the cross. The apostle Paul also admonished us in Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”This ministry is not designed for behavior modification but is Holy Spirit-led to provide heart transformation, to experience daily sanctification and walk in freedom and live victoriously to fulfill the Kingdom mandate of Luke 4:18.
